School of the Nations Model United Nations is Macau’s first high school, student-led, English-medium Model UN conference, held at the School of the Nations annually.

 

At SONMUN, delegates from across Asia and beyond congregate to discuss issues of global significance. Together, students learn to collaborate, speak up, and practice strategic analysis as UN representatives and diplomats. SONMUN aims to bring globalised thinking into a region as incredibly small as Macau.

 

As part of the SONMUN vision, local and international youth alike foster an open atmosphere for inclusive dialogue and critical thinking about the world around them. Many delegates leave the conference with new friendships, perspectives, understanding, and confidence.
